Ready, Set, School !
Here are some ideas to help prepare your child for their new roles as a kindergarten student:
- Encourage them to dress on their own, open their own food wrappers and wipe their bottom
- Demonstrate how to hold a pencil correctly
- Ask your child to choose books you can read together,and encourage them to sit through the whole story
- Give your child plenty of creative time using glue, scissors, markers and any other art materials around the home.
- While driving, invite your child to play games like "guess the traffic sign" or to identify colors and shapes on buildings and vehicles around them.
- Encourage your child to share and take turns !

Home Made Bubbles Recipe:
- 1/2 cup of dishwashing liquid
- 2 cups of water
- 2 teaspoons of sugar
Drizzle Goo
- 1 cup flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup salt
- 3/4 cup water
- Food coloring
Mix all together and pour into bottles with a squeeze top (mustard/ketchup).Create your masterpiece by squeezing "goo" out onto construction paper !
